The seventh COPENHELL Metal Cruise will take place on October 25-27 – GLORYHAMMER, BAEST, PALLBEARER and MERCENARY kick off the music line-up.

The ship is loaded with heavy music and loads of atmosphere when COPENHELL Metal Cruise takes off on October 25-27 later this year! In a partnership with DFDS, COPENHELL will host the seventh Metal Cruise on board the ‘Oslo Boat’ in 2024, and the first bands are now ready for the dark voyage: GLORYHAMMER, BAEST, PALLBEARER and MERCENARY!

Cruise guests can look forward to the same luxurious experience as last year with two days at sea full of exciting concerts, delicious food, excellent entertainment and not least lots of great COPENHELL atmosphere all day and night long on board the ship. As usual, we have taken over the entire ship so we have only true rock and metal fans on board, and we look forward to telling you much more about COPENHELL Metal Cruise 2024 and all the activities at this year’s event in the coming months.

BANDS:

You can talk about power metal with a capital ”P”when GLORYHAMMER envelops the audience in their epic metal universe. Everything is about heroes, wizards, warriors and grandiose battles when the band serves up their catchy fantasy songs with theatrical bravado, infectious joy and disarming self-irony. These brave Brits have carved their own niche on the power scene a long time ago with a strong combination of music skill and solid storytelling, creating extremely gripping and memorable concerts.

Mighty BAEST is one of Danish metal’s biggest exports, and they will conquer COPENHELL Metal Cruise for the third time – they were also featured on the event’s maiden voyage back in 2017. These death metal giants hardly require an introduction after their performance at COPENHELL’s main stage last year, where thousands of metal fans showed their devotion to the band and their heavy, aggressive metal with a colossal moshpit. We can’t wait for yet another party with the Jutlandic group this autumn!

PALLBEARER delivers a rock-solid combination of doom, heavy metal and progressive rock with atmospheric sound, complex instrumental structures and great dynamics. This is music that evokes afterthought and emotions with deep lyrical themes revolving around the human existence and condition – all of it performed by exceptionally skilled musicians. It’s a great pleasure for us to offer the COPENHELL audience a concert with the popular American band that will visit us with an entirely new album behind them later this year.

MERCENARY is known for being one of the pillars of the wave of melodic death metal that swept over Denmark in the beginning of the new millennium. The band’s line-up has seen a string of replacement since the early ’90s, and their music style has been changed and developed significantly over the decades. Their heavy sound swings like a pendulum between classic death metal and hardcore with a strong emphasis on songwriting and razor-sharp delivery all around – something that has attracted attention from Trivium’s Matt Heafy, among others, who is featured on their great song ‘Heart of the Numb’.

You can look forward to great bands and not least metal karaoke with Openhell, relaxing hangover board games, escape room, bingo, tattooos and lots of mischief – ticket for COPENHELL Metal Cruise 2024 are available here
