FULL COPENHELL METAL CRUISE 2023 MUSIC LINE-UP READY
BERSÆRK, URNE and 802 will complete the COPENHELL Metal Cruise 2023 line-up. Eight seaworthy bands will make waves when the boat from hell leaves from Copenhagen for Oslo on October 27-29, 2023..
COPENHELL Metal Cruise has become a proud tradition for the festival when COPENHELL seizes the entire Oslo boat every year and make for the Norwegian capital and back again during a weekend that is chock-full of hard rock, heavy metal, high spirits and lots of great COPENHELL atmosphere.
For the first time ever, the entire music line-up for the heaviest Nordic boat voyage is ready before the festival, as we now round it off with three hard and wild bands:
During the recent decade, BERSÆRK has become a household name on the Danish rock scene. The Danish heathens have made appearances at both the very first COPENHELL Metal Cruise in 2017 and several times at the festival. The band delivers one great concert after the other with lots of charm, wit and bite – and not least sheer ferocity that always makes for eminent live experiences.
The British band URNE plays sludgy and thrashy heavy metal, which defies all attempts at genre categorization. They gave a forceful performance with high technical proficiency at last year’s COPENHELL – and they have also managed to impress people on the metal scene: Joe Duplantier, frontman in Gojira from France, just recorded URNE’s next album, ‘A Feast On Sorrow’, in his New York studie, and we look forward to hearing much more from it at COPENHELL Metal Cruise.
A very interesting new Danish music project will also embark with COPENHELL Metal Cruise when 802 goes with us to Oslo. Frontman Andreas Asingh has worked with hiphop before, but he moved back to his old region in Denmark, found two musicians from the local metal underground and started a trio that combines metal, fuzz and distortion, synthesizers and dreamy vocals in a truly unique and very exciting audioscape.
The total COPENHELL Metal Cruise 2023 line-up is: DOG EAT DOG, ME AND THAT MAN, BERSÆRK, URNE, HATESPHERE, UNTO OTHERS, SKULLCLUB and 802.
Add to this COPENHELL’s always amazingly entertaining house band Openhell that will give all sea dogs in a party mood the opportunity to step on to the stage themselves and sing famous rock and metal songs in front of a great live band.
The draymen in the Tuborg bodega The Sinking Ship will also be ready to open ice-cold beers for thirsty cruise guests, and COPENHELL’s board game salon will give everyone a chance to relax, enjoy great company and activate their brains – alternatively, you can go exploring in Oslo and visit the iconic record store and unofficial black metal museum Neseblod Records, among other things.
