COPENHELL ADDS NEW MUSIC TO THE 2023 LINE-UP

With only three months until the great infernal gathering in Copenhagen, COPENHELL adds five extra bands to the festival poster:

The renowned ’Troldspejlet’ TV host JACOB STEGELMANN will return to COPENHELL’s main stage! This happens together with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, who, together with Denmark’s most beloved ubergeek, will give us a wonderfully geeky Friday afternoon with music from everything from superhero movies and fantasy classics to horror and science fiction. We can’t wait to listen to epic music from Star Wars, Godzilla, DOOM, Gremlins and Jaws!

The Finnish music pioneer Ville Valo got a huge breakthrough with the rock band HIM back in the day. After the band’s career ended, the idiosyncratic musician went on with his new project VV, which released its debut album earlier this year. The gothic love rock still flows in Valo’s veins, and the audience can look forward to experiencing more of his dark and dreamy universe.

When you are Eddie van Halen’s son, you definitely feel everyone’s expectations. Wolfgang van Halen responded to them with the solo project MAMMOTH WVH, which most of all sounds like one great tribute to the iconic guitar guru. The band plays super-energetic hard rock’n’roll – with lots of room for both nostalgia and modern progressive elements.

The super group END counts members from Counterparts, Fit For An Autopsy and The Dillinger Escape Plan, among others. In other words, it is not surprising that their raging and intense hardcore punk sounds like a furious roar from the abyss: It is heavy, ugly and hard like hell!

The Danish trio DIRT FORGE will envelop the audience in heavy riffs and odd time signatures in a swirling audio maelstrom. The band explores progressive rock and metal, and they have toured extensively both home and abroad since their 2017 debut ‘Soothsayer’ and last year’s critically acclaimed sophomore album ‘Interspheral’.

COPENHELL 2023 is almost completely sold out – currently, we only have R.I.P. tickets left for the festival as well as camping tickets for tents.
